The Four Keys to Excellent Health

Your healthy functioning body is the most valuable material asset you possess. It’s the first thing of value given to you when you enter this world and you owe it to yourself to value it and increase its functioning value. Today I will give you 4 keys to progressively creating a healthy body and life for yourself so that you can enjoy life to the fullest.

Key #1 - Think Right: “As your mind flows so your life goes.” Meaning - your life is a product of the thoughts you think, which leads to the actions you do, which then creates the results you see. Someone who is 400 pounds overweight cannot loose 100 pounds per year if they continue to think that they must have a pound of ice-cream every day to be happy. Clearly the key to changing this ingrained habit pattern is to progressively change that way of thinking to one that will produce right habits/actions and thereby producing the desired results.

Key #2 - Eating & drinking Right: Consuming the right foods is also very important. Many people find this hard to do because they’ve long formed improper eating habits that can be very hard to change without assistance. How would you rate your eating habits? Understand that your body is a living organism that uses the food you consume to recreate itself. Before a cell dies it reproduces another cell from the food you are currently consuming. So consider this: If you had the choice would you create your body from the nutrients in the food you are consuming right now?

Key #3 - Resting Right: Rest = Restoration. Makes sense, doesn’t it? While exercise and movement are essential for stimulating circulation and the elimination of toxins, rest and sleep provide an opportunity for the body to cleanse, repair, and rejuvenate on a deep cellular level. Nourishing your body with plenty of healing sleep and rest is essential for becoming whole.

Key #4 - Being Happy every day: Now, some people would consider the possibility of Being Happy every day to be impossible but I’m here to tell you that it is possible. YES IT IS! How? Well for starters I recommend that you smile for at least one minute as soon as you get up each morning. It doesn’t matter if your life is totally upside down - smile anyway. There are many benefits to smiling that I won’t go into here but from a body chemical standpoint it does the body well. Secondly, I recommend that you smile and say HI to as many people as you can throughout the day. Just these 2 tips alone are enough to improve your mood and outcome in life significantly. My main tip to being happy everyday will be included in an article on nutrigoddess.com called “How to be Happy Every Single Day!” Recap: What does it take?

  1. Think right
  2. Eating & drinking Right
  3. Resting Right
  4. Being Happy every day

These 4 components are what it takes to achieve excellent health. Maren D. NutriGoddess www.nutrigoddess.com

Aloe and the Immune System

Aloe Vera is greatly enriched with vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients. Aloe has also been around for as long as any one can remember, with evidence of it even being there during the dinosaurs’ age.

Not only has it been around for a long time, but it has been used during almost all of the time it has been around. Aloe is able to cure burns and bruises, small cuts and some medium sized cuts, stomach problems, and there is extensive research being done on other uses.

One of the many things that Aloe can do is help raise your immune system. That’s right; studies have shown that aloe can actually help protect you from cancer, sickness, and other problems.

So how does aloe raise your immune system? Inside of aloe there are numerous vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. All of these things combined into one create a type of shield against bacteria that causes sickness and disease.

Now not every aloe plant contains everything it should. Because of the fact that earths soil is starting to become depleted of its old minerals and enrichments, earth’s vegetation is suffering as well. How ever, there are people who build green houses and buy enriched soils for them.

These green houses help keep air and ground pollution down inside of the green houses, and also can keep the soil inside of them from becoming depleted like other soil.

With green houses, and proper care, the aloe plant can continue to work its healing properties on humans and can continue to decorate houses as well. What some people don’t understand though is that aloe can be used for numerous things.

You don’t even have to go to a store to buy it. You can take a leaf off of an aloe plant that you own go on the web and find out what you can do to it to get the type of healing you require from it.

Different Types of Aloe

There are over 500 different species in the Aloe family. Each one is different in size and appearance going any where from as small is a half dollar coin to full sized trees.

They are found all over the world, but are native to Africa Yemen and other countries in that region. The differences between the Aloes are actually very odd ones. Some of them can survive in cold weather; others die in cold or wet climate.

When you think of aloe, what do you think of? Most people think of the aloe that is used for sun burns and other minor injuries? Have you ever thought of it as a small little shrub? Or a big tree? With over 500 different species no matter how you look at it, it is still a very big species.

Aloe Vera is the most commonly known, it has been used for burns, cuts, bruises, nutritional values, and much more by all the different cultures of the world. The aloe that we are familiar with grows like a desert plant; it has long slender leaves that are thick all the way up to around the middle where they start to thin out.

Caring for these plants is very easy, and most aloe plants can be found in a garden or in a home used as decoration. Aloe is also a good source of vitamins, and so there are a lot of different cultures that experiment with the different types of Aloe.

With all the different types of aloe, and all of the evidence of it’s healing abilities, it is a wonder it is not extinct yet. The plants are all over and easy to find once you know what you are looking for. Using aloe for injuries is also easy, simply by cutting off a leave and squeezing the juice out you are able to work with aloe juice.

Why Do You Need A Healthy Colon

The colon is the body’s means of eliminating those things in our diets that our body does not need or use. If the colon is unhealthy and eliminates improperly, we experience a number of symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, bloody stool, bloating, persistent gas, frequent stomach cramps and pains, and constant fatigue. Not only that, there are surprisingly many other problems that stem from colon disorders. Migraine headaches, acne, eczema, and other skin disorders, even viruses, can be contributed to a plugged up and dysfunctional colon. What is a cause of these symptoms and how can they be corrected?

Once the food we eat passes from the stomach, it enters the small intestines so the body can absorb the nutrients and take them to the blood stream and then to the cells. That which is unusable by the body continues down the intestines to the colon, or large intestines to make ready for its exit. However, if the foods we eat do not contain enough fiber and cleansing liquids to move the wastes through, our systems become clogged, bloated, and pained, where disorders begin.

One of the biggest threats to our colons is the processed foods, those lacking fiber. Take for example white flour. As a child, I would often ask my mother for glue, or paste. She would go to the kitchen and stir up a bowl of white flour and water. It made great glue for my projects. White flour, now the fiber is removed, works just like glue - not only on projects, but inside the intestines as well. Without the fiber, it has nothing to move it through the intestines. It becomes very apparent why one might experience a migraine or constipation. Other refined foods that are high in sugar, high in fats, and low in fiber, also do not nourish the body, but will clog and restrict passage.

Colon cancer is one of the leading natural deaths in the United States today and it is caused from a lack of fiber and not enough water and water-rich foods in one’s diet. Fiber naturally comes from eating whole grains, not just whole grain breads, but the whole grains themselves where the fiber is cleansing to the body, and there is good nourishment as well. A clean system - free from pollutants and clogging agents - comes from eating cleansing foods. Raw fruits and vegetables, and good pure water are also essential to good cleansing and moving foods through the intestines and out the colon. If our meals consist of mostly heavy proteins and starches, our systems become stressed, fatigued, become clogged, bloated, and pained.

Here are some healthy colon suggestions:

1)Begin you day with a large glass of pure water and drink 8-12 more glasses throughout the day.

2)Instead of a diet of breads and flour products, eat real whole grains such as sprouted or cooked quinoa, millet, amaranth, kamut, barley, brown rice or other whole grains.

3)Instead of all the heavy proteins and animal products, eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, and legumes (bean family).

4)Natural high fiber snacks which are good for you include raw fruits or vegetables, or raw nuts.

You need a healthy colon! Make it easy for good elimination to take place! Give up the refined foods and you’ll give up the disorders they create. Then replace them with high quality foods and pure water. Your body will require less energy to move your foods, and YOU will have more energy to accomplish what you want to do!
